RESUME OF THE PRESIDENT AND FOUNDING DIRECTORS
Mr. Sison graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of the East, Manila in 1973. He joined SGV & Company as auditor shortly after taking the 1973 CPA Board Exams. He received his CPA license the same year. Mr. Sison was auditor at SGV from 1973 up to June 30, 1977. He joined the Soriano Group of Companies in July 1977 as an Accounting Manager and later as Finance Manager.
In 1999, he joined SPP Corporation as Director. In May 2000, with the migration of Mr. Bonus for the USA, Mr. Sison took over as President and Chief Operating Officer. He was also the Chairman of the Board from that time to the present.
Mr. Elfante graduated with a Mechanical Engineering Degree from St. Louis University in Baguio City in 1972. He obtained his license as Registered Mechanical Engineer in 1975. He worked as Product Engineer at Refrigeration Industries from 1973 to 1977. In 1978, he joined APV Bell Bryant Manufacturing Company as Plant Engineer. APV was in the business of manufacturing process equipment for the food and beverage industries.
It is at APV that Mr. Elfante was able to practice the theories he learned in school which were valuable in building structurally safe vessels and equipment in a GMP compliant environment.
In August 1984, he joined Mr. Victor Bonus to form SPP Corporation. He has been in charge of the factory operations as Plant Manager. He has also been a member of the board from that time to present.
Mr. Bonus graduated with a Bachelor in Science in Business Administration from the University of the East, Manila. After completing his review for the CPA exams he joined SGV & Company as auditor where he stayed for almost 4 years. He received his CPA certificate shortly after joining SGV & Co. Thereafter, he had a short stints with Ternate Development Corporation and Ephirol Fishing Co., both as accountant. The company he stayed longest was APV Bell Bryant Manufacturing where he was the Chief Accountant and later Finance Manager.
In April 1984, he joined with Mr. Larry Elfante to establish SPP Corporation. SPP Corporation had humble beginning but through hard work, perseverance and blessing from God, it grew to be what it is today. SPP is now recognized as a major player in the Philippines for the manufacture and installation of processing equipment in the food, beverage, pharmaceutical and other industries, counting as customers big names like San Miguel Corporation, Coca Cola, Nestle, Unilever, Universal Robina Corp and many others.
In May of 2000, Mr. Bonus and his family migrated to the USA but he maintained his ownership share in the company. He continued to be a member of the board of directors until today. In the USA, he worked in various roles as financial analyst, accountant and controller.
